"What Are You Most Proud Of? What's Your Greatest Achievement?"
“Marrying my wife. Because we met on a blind date, which was on a Friday, and she got out of that yellow Oldsmobile, and I fell in love with her as soon as she got out of the car. Never said a word, nothing. She was the most beautiful girl I'd ever seen in my life. And we went to a basketball game and we went to a dance. And then, you know, she said when we did the first slow dance, and I took her up under my arm, that's when she fell in love with me. But on Tuesday, she got a letter from me and I told her that I loved her and that I was gonna marry her. So and we're we're really love at first sight.”
“That's amazing. You move quickly. You remember. You remember the yellow car?”
“Oh yeah. Yeah. Amazing automobile. But I think that's probably. And then, of course, Annebet are probably the most because see when Neva and I first got married you know it was during the Vietnam era and stuff like that. We didn't want to bring up any kids in that kind of an environment. So but it was just it, it just happened that Neva got pregnant. I know where. I know when. But you know, having Annebet was was one of the best things that happened to Nev and I. But I think what I'm most proud of is the fact that I've got the women of my life.”
“It's amazing. How long have you been married? How many years now?”
“I've known her since ‘65. And we've been married since ‘67. It's 50 plus years.”
